Opening of Smart Industry Academy in Nanjing
The opening of the Smart Industry Academy in Nanjing is a milestone in the expansion of the worldwide academy network of the Deutsche Messe Technology Academy.
On Friday, 27 November 2020, the time had finally come: with a slight delay due to the global pandemic, but still, on schedule in 2020, the Smart Industry Academy in Nanjing, the foreign location in China, goes into operation.
Thomas Rilke, Managing Director of DMTA: “Of course we would have been happy to be physically present in Nanjing. The opening ceremony of our Smart Industry Academy Nanjing is another good news from China.”
Another good news from China. Special thanks to Yu Qing of Chilin Science and Innovation Park, Wu Libao, Secretary-General of Jiangsu Higher Education Association, and Zhang Rui, Chairman of the Nanjing Robot Research Institute- and of course to Reinhold Umminger, our director Global Business! Lower Saxony’s Minister of Economic Affairs Bernd Althusmann and Jochen Köckler, Chairman of the Board of Management of Deutsche Messe AG, also took part in the hybrid event. Both emphasized the important role of the academy in Nanjing for the transfer of knowledge and the presence of German companies in China.
Due to its geographical location and economic importance in China, Nanjing is an ideal location for the development of a global network of production technology. Rilke and Umminger announced the opening of further locations.
