Smart Production Alliance for global industrial development

The consulting firm INCIT, the Swiss Smart Factory and the Deutsche Messe Technology Academy founded the Smart Production Alliance (SPA) in June 2025.
The SPA aims to contribute internationally to the digital transformation of industrial production.

The three organizations are pooling their respective service offerings, which are aimed at business developers and production clusters. The Smart Production Alliance (SPA) made its first joint presentation to a global specialist audience at one of Switzerland’s most renowned technology conferences, the International Smart Factory Summit in Biel.
The SPA partners have summarized their joint range of solutions in the claim “Train ● Connect ● Solve”. To enable industrial regions to catch up with international world leaders, the SPA uses training courses to specifically promote skills and knowledge in the field of intelligent production. The establishment of networks is intended to support international cooperation and the exchange of ideas.
Bundled competencies
Unique database
The Singapore-based consultancy INCIT, which is internationally active with a large number of partners, has many years of experience in the analysis of industrialization processes worldwide. INCIT’s unique database enables an objective assessment of the productivity and competitiveness of local companies – the prerequisite for customized and realistic recommendations for regional industrial policy.
Training at the highest industrial level
The Swiss Smart Factory (SSF) is the leading Swiss test and development center for Industry 4.0 and part of the Switzerland Innovation Park Biel/Bienne. With an ecosystem of strong partners, it has created an open, industry-oriented platform on which innovative technologies can be jointly developed, tested and demonstrated.
A central element is the “International Smart Factory Academy” – a modular training program for managers and trainers. SSF relies on modern remote training with global access to real industrial plants – flexible, scalable and at the highest industrial level.
Worldwide networking
The Deutsche Messe Technology Academy (DMTA) is responsible for marketing the Alliance worldwide and for networking users of production technology with each other and with leading and globally active suppliers. To this end, it is setting up academies worldwide. DMTA and the Smart Production Alliance will use HANNOVER MESSE’s global industrial flagship event and its Industrial Transformation Events as a communication channel in the future.
Smart Production Alliance – the Agenda

“If we want to enable companies in emerging countries such as India, Turkey, Mexico, Indonesia and Brazil to participate in global value chains in a self-determined way, an honest assessment of actual productivity is a basic prerequisite.”
Raimund Klein, Founder INCIT
In many cases, we cannot rely on a universally available hardware infrastructure for industrial training. Instead of building this resource-intensive infrastructure, we rely on smart, software-based remote training using state-of-the-art production technology. Training courses such as those offered by the Biel-based company MyLifeZone accelerate the transfer of skills for industrial modernization enormously.”
Dr.-Ing. Dominic Gorecky, Head of Swiss Smart Factory

“With the Smart Production Alliance, we will bring the various players together. In addition to the users from industry, who we mainly address with our offering, we also invite providers, start-ups, research institutions and clusters to become an active part of our ecosystem.”
Thomas Rilke, Director, Deutsche Messe Technology Academy
